Finger Guns VFX

We are currently in the process of designing a story board and creating a script.

The script shows that we have planned out various scenes with my associates; Sam, Callum and Sean.

For our story we have based it on cadets from different regiments going to war against each other.

Script:Scene 1:

Location; college campus

Me and Sean are having a standoff

*Close up of myself*

*Continue to close up of Sean*

I   draw my gun (Finger gun) and shoot Sean

Sean crawls to the wall

I walk towards Sean

Filming process:

To create this footage we used adobe premiere to extrapolate various bits of sound and images, images including muzzle flashes of a gun to enhance the realism of the finger guns as well as using the sound of gun being fired. To add an intensity to the video I added music to the background, as well as adding police sirens to the end to make it seem more dangerous.

Process: I first inserted the raw footage into premiere pro, then I dragged it into the editor window, I then chose materials and resources that suited my project. Looking at the image you can see the small purple bar is the muzzle flash image whenever the characters were shooting. below those effects you can see in the audio section of the editor. Here you can see the audio effects and visual effects in the editor window.Screen Shot 2018-06-07 at 1.29.59 PM.pngScreen Shot 2018-06-07 at 11.35.43 AM.png

I chose a muzzle flash to show that the finger gun is in use. I then dragged the background music to give the scene more depth and seriousness. I also used the sound of sirens to the end of the clip to to give it a cliff hanger like ending, I also added a dip to black effect to the footage to add to the effect.Screen Shot 2018-06-07 at 11.19.52 AM.png

To move the muzzle flash into the appropriate location for the footage went into effect controls and altered the the position of the image, I also changed the blend mode of the image so that the black background of the image isn’t seen.

In conclusion i believe that what i have produced is satisfactory but can use some improvements. Such as re-doing some of the scenes because some seem choppy and rushed to be put together.
